On 28th of September 2022 Shehu Academy with the support of USAID Kosovo Compete Activity organized the event “Connection of supply and demand in the labor market” which aimed to build bridges of cooperation between professional training institutions (public and private) and the private sector by offering opportunities with the best for practical work and employment for students and jobseekers.

The project ESVET PRO contributed to this event by participating in the two key panels organized in the framework of this event. The Chief Technical Adviser, Daniele Passalaqua participated in the second panel focusing on the Private VET institutions, challenges, and the role of the private sector in the development of VET. The CTA highlighted the key role that the private sector plays in the development of the VET sector. He presented some of the key activities that the project has implemented in this direction. Among others, he spoke about the role of the Business Model Approach that has been established in selected schools supported by the project and the significant endorsement that the approach has received by the private sector.

The expert of the Project for Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL), Hajdin Berisha was among the panelists in the third panel which was dedicated to the Recognition of Prior Learning and experience. In this panel, Berisha shared with the audience the key interventions that the project has made in this component. As a new opportunity in the country, RPL is at its initial stage of the implementation and the project is among the first that is contributing to the establishment and implementation of RPL services at the national level.  He reaffirmed that the role of private sector in the full implementation of RPL is vital and called all VET stakeholders to align their activities and strengthen cooperation for the successful implementation of RPL in the country.
