As a common procedure of European Union (EU) funded Projects, the Project ESVET PRO went through the Results Oriented Monitoring (ROM) mission which was conducted from 7-16 February 2022. Due to COVID-19 restrictions, the ROM mission was conducted remotely.

The mission was officially launched on February 7 whereby the Chief Technical Adviser of the Project, Mr Daniele Cristian Passalacqua and the staff of the project briefed the evaluation team about the project. The project team assured the evaluation experts of their full support and the highest level of commitment and cooperation during the evaluation process.

The ROM mission continued with the desk analysis of the project documents, including the technical and financial document, project monitoring and evaluation system, annual operation plans, progress reports, project steering committee meeting reports and other relevant documents.

The field work of the mission included meetings and interviews with several stakeholders, partners and beneficiaries of the project. All the relevant stakeholders participated in the meetings and shared their feedback on the support received from the project. The Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) as the direct national counterpart and the prime beneficiary of the project, was represented by Ms Majlinda Rizvanolli, External Adviser to the Minister of MESTI for VET sector, Mr Lah Nitaj, Director of the VET Department and Ms Valbona Fetiu-Mjeku, senior officer for VET. The representatives of the MESTI highlighted the relevance and the importance of this intervention in the VET sector, the successful progression of the project and the cooperation between the MESTI and the project.

The mission was successfully concluded with a wrap-up meeting held on February 22, 2022, in which the LuxDev Regional Representative, Ms Gülten Aka participated. Ms Aka thanked the evaluation team for the mission and expressed the readiness to continue this cooperation and welcomes the delivery of the ROM report. On the other hand, the head of the evaluation team, Mr Vlado Rikalovski emphasised that he was impressed with the developments of the project despite the restrictions imposed by the COVID-19 pandemic and thanked the Regional Representative and the project team for the great collaboration and support throughout the mission.

The Project thanks the EU for funding the project, the MESTI and all national stakeholders for their cooperation and the evaluation team for the successful mission.

Project ESVET PRO will continue to organize activities as planned and provide support to various stakeholders to ensure the improvement and development of the VET sector in Kosovo.
