On 31 August 2021, the Chief Technical Advisor (CTA) of Projects KSV/020 and KSV/801, Mr Daniele Cristian Passalacqua, met with the directors of VET schools. The meeting was held at the Ministry of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (MESTI) and was attended by the representative of the VET Department of the MESTI, Ms Valbona Fetiu-Mjeku.
The purpose of the meeting was to hand over the qualification sets for four profiles developed with the support of Project KSV/020. The Qualification sets include the Occupational Standards, Curricula, Teaching and Learning Materials, Didactic Guidelines and Supporting Material for Teachers.

Ms Fetiu-Mjeku thanked Mr Passalacqua for the continuous support that LuxDev provides in the VET sector and for developing of the qualification sets in particular. On the other hand, Mr Passalacqua, expressed his appreciation to the MESTI for the close cooperation in this process. The CTA also thanked all directors and the staff of the schools for their contribution and inputs on the development of the qualification sets.
“Today, we are submitting qualification sets for four profiles, but LuxDev through its projects will continue to support MESTI and the VET schools for the development of qualifications sets in other profiles and for the provision of laboratory equipment to VET schools” stated Mr Passalacqua.
The qualification sets have been developed in full compliance with the guidelines of the National Qualifications Authority (NQA), the occupational standards which have already been validated and approved, and with the MESTI’s decision to implement the curricula in all IVET institutions in which these qualifications are offered.

The directors of VET schools appreciated the support of LuxDev to develop new qualification sets based on the contemporary developments to meet the new labour market demand. The schools will begin implementing the new qualification sets starting from the new academic year September 2021. The meeting was held with a limited number of participants and in full compliance with the COVID-19 measures.
